Our Pigs

We currently have just a few kunekune pigs on our farm! Our first litter was delivered in late April by our sow Cinnamon. Some piglets will be grown out to provide fresh pasture raised meat for our family, and we LOVE using rendered lard in our skin care products, as it provides such amazing benefits to skin. We also offer other piglets for sale as breeding pigs or pets! Our pigs are registered with the AKKPS and have stellar genetics. Please fill out our contact us page for more information!

Kunekune pigs are a small, friendly, heritage breed of pig originally from New Zealand. Known for their short snouts, stocky build, and docile nature, they are ideal for homesteads for several reasons:

Pasture-Based Grazers: Unlike many pig breeds, Kunekunes thrive on grass, reducing feed costs and making them great for sustainable, pasture-based systems.
Gentle Temperament: They are calm and easy to handle, making them a good choice for families or first-time pig owners.
Compact Size: Their smaller size (typically 100–250 lbs) makes them easier to manage and less destructive to fences and land.
Quality Meat: Kunekunes produce flavorful, well-marbled pork, often prized for its tenderness and rich taste.
