Our Goats

We currently have a herd of about 15 Nigerian Dwarf Goats! They are all registered with the American Dairy Goat Association and come from amazing milk and conformational genetics. We currently participate in the DHIR program offered by ADGA.
Our goats provide us with fresh raw milk that is used in many of our products! We often offer kids for sale in the spring, Breeding announcements go out in October! We have a free waitlist for kids, but require deposits to reserve once they are born. Please fill out the form on our Contact page for more information!

Here's a little bit about the breed and why they fit into our small homestead:

Nigerian Dwarf Goats
are a small, friendly breed of dairy goats known for their compact size, colorful coats, and high milk production relative to their size. Originating from West Africa, they are popular on homesteads for several reasons:

  • Milk Production: Despite their small stature, they produce rich, creamy milk high in butterfat (often 6–10%), ideal for cheese, yogurt, and soap making.

  • Space-Efficient: Their small size makes them suitable for smaller properties or urban homesteads.

  • Temperament: They are gentle, social, and easy to handle, making them great for families with children.

  • Multipurpose Use: In addition to milk, they can be used for land clearing, compost enrichment, and as companion animals.
